Artwork Description:
This painting is autobiographical, restoring the artist's youth in the post-Soviet datcha haven. The children are forever children and robberies of fruits, especially tasty fruits, took place even in datcha settlements, where nearly everyone had a garden. Here the youth are robbing pears from the small garden. The dominant color here is dark viridian gray and spikes of orange and white. The composition reminds us of old masters' paintings on similar subjects.
