Midday Suicide is a tragic painting showing the collapse of a young sexually attractive woman during a bright blue day. The woman is standing behind the fence and screaming at viewers. The colors used here are grayish violet, yellowish white, and black. This painting was inspired by the situation in the life of Nicholaas Chiao. He was extremely attracted to a young beautiful classmate in Belarus, a connection to whom he lost nearly completely upon moving to America, the painting symbolizes the loss of their physical relations.
